On Saturday and Sunday, 24th and 25th of August, the Federal Ministries of Germany invited citizens for a “state visit” in Berlin following the motto “Pass by, get informed, experience!”. The language diversity team was there and supported the Secretariat of the autochthonous, national minorities of Germany, which had a stand at the Federal Ministry of the Interior. Our team informed the visitors about the four minority languages in Germany: Frisian, Danish, Romani and Sorbian.

On Sunday our team visited the Foreign Ministry, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the Federal Ministry for Education, getting into conversation with many organizations and institutions (e.g. the Society for Threatened Peoples) and invited people to take part in an exciting language quiz about linguistic diversity in Europe.
