On 8 November 2013 language diversity visited “Nordiske Samorganisation for Ungdomsarbejde (NSU)“, the association of Nordic youth organisations. The youth organisations from all the Scandinavian countries, among them Denmark, Sweden, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland and Finland, regularly meet one another at so-called thematic seminars.

Nordiske Samorganisation for UngdomsarbejdeThis time 35 young representatives of the organisations visited Christianslyst, in Southern Schleswig, Germany. In the conference centre of SdU (Danish youth organisation in Southern Schleswig) various ideas were developed during a creativity seminar, which was aimed at supporting the development of the participating organisations. We had the chance to present ourselves, the project language diversity and our activities in the form of a lecture. We were pleased with the great interest and with many questions on the subject of multilingualism and linguistic diversity in Europe. We succeeded in gaining the support from Norwegian and Greenlandic youth for our language campaign.

We thank all who participated for your warm welcome and hope to see you soon again in the German-Danish region!
