From 12-18 February 2013 the language diversity team undertook a study visit in the German-Danish border region. During this week contacts were established with possible partners in order to learn more about the region, the needs and projects in the field of languages. Several organisations were visited, such as Bund Deutscher Nordschleswiger, the regional office in Padborg and the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN), which has its seat in Flensburg.

Next to the project partner the Growth Centre in the region Syddanmark, also the regional office close to the German-Danish border in the Danish town of Padborg is an important actor and initiator. Language diversity for example used a meeting of the unit Language and Intercultural Understanding to present its European language and awareness raising campaign.

Furthermore the team was guest at the Junge Spitzen in Nordschleswig (Denmark), where the Youth Leader Committee meeting of the Youth of European Nationalities (YEN) was taking place.
