There was a good atmosphere and cheerful hustle on Sunday, 17 February 2013, in the multifunctional centre “Jednota” in Crostwitz, where circa 450 children and parents gathered for a family afternoon. The afternoon was organised by the WITAJ Language Centre and the Domowina district organisation “Michał Hórnik“.
The children’s theatre of the German-Sorbian People’s Theatre from Bautzen opened the afternoon with scenes from the fairy tale “Njeposłušna princesna a sydom rubježnikow” (the disobedient princess and the seven robbers). During the afternoon the children and parents were offered a wide variety of activities, such as actions of the language diversity team and language games about multilingualism and linguistic diversity. The language capacity of Sorbian and Sorbian-learning children was also sought for in computer games and other games from the WITAJ Language Centre or in speech therapy exercises.
